a morning with enablers.....oops I mean friends

Well today I finally managed to make it a blog meet and it felt wonderful just to be out of the house....I always leave with a wish list a mile along and more blogs to read! The babies were lovely and well behaved and thankfully the eyes in the back of my head saw miss keira try to escape the park on 3 occasions!!!!

Today there was belinda, claudine, marina and two new ladies - claire of the lovely lulu carter and Fiona a lovely blogless lady. In our lucky dip, I received a lovely present of french lace, satin ribbon and cute little tassles from Fiona (sorry I called you Catherine before in a blonde moment)....what to make...I'm thinking a lovely little curtain for the nursery with white linen or maybe a cushion with a lace overlay bordered by the ribbon..mmmmm. what do you think???????? thank you Fiona and also thank you for letting me know it was the best kind of french lace so I can give it the respect it deserves!

and here is my hexagon blanket coming along nicely...I've made an executive decision to ditch the cherry red in the last round as it just didn't sit right with all the other colours...I am just loving these hexagons and can whip one up in 30 minutes with no distractions but most of the time there are distractions so it takes a wee bit longer. Must put the children first of course :) Its going to look lovely in the nursery draped over the rocking chair I think.....

and now with 1 week to moving day I really need to get this big butt of mine into gear and get some action going! Don't worry the removalists are doing all the packing and moving but its the cupboards and 'those' drawers that need attention...I think I might crochet a bit more this afternoon while I think about what has to be done....

Lovely pressies. How nice for you to get out and have some time with lovely friends too. Your blanket does look quite beautiful, and those colors are great together too.

Love the lace and stuff.

But I really love your blanket - you are really inspiring me to start one. It is just gorgeous.

Hi Corrie
I love the red in the middle of the hexagons, sprinkled randomly throughout the blanket, I think it gives it some sparkle and bling, otherwise it's all too samey for me.
