oh thank you

Thank you again. I knew I would receive the most wonderful messages that I will pass on to my mum. Its always a tough decision knowing how much to share online and I've kept it all to myself until now. These are the lovely flowers that I organised from her favourite florist yesterday but there are no flowers allowed in ICU so they no sooner arrived than came back to live with me.

and I'm still baking this morning....these are the easiest little cakes ever. Take 1 packet of basic vanilla cake mix (I just use a 99c no-name brand) and drop in a few frozen berries into each one. Bake for 20-25 minutes, dust with icing sugar and you have the most deliciously moist little berry cakes.

All the best over the weekend. My mum had a benign brain tumor removed 5 years ago when my first son was only months old. She was over 1000kms away and I felt so helpless. You are very lucky that you can be close to her and your family. She is definetly in my prayers. The little cakes are great too - more are in the oven now - was wondering what to cook to get rid of frozen berries that have been living in my freezer!!

Corrie, please add my wellest wishes to all the messages for your mum. What a tough time for all of you. Glad to see you are distracting yourself with chocolate and fabric. Perfect.

hi Corrie, I dropped by to grovel to you for a pattern, but I am shocked to read about your lovely Mum...how are you handling things lovely? This is a hard journey to embark on isn't it?

I remember your Mum sending lovely rugs with notes attached for the Victorian bushfire appeal..what an angel.

Drop by if you ever need a chat..you and your mum and your clan will be in my prayers.
