1 metre 2 skirts.....and another giveaway

Housework just had to wait this morning as I was itching to use the new fabrics! 1 metre of this adorable fabric made 2 quick skirts in under an hour and there are leftovers for some small purses or appliqued tops.

I love this fabric so much and since this is my 501st post (time flies when you're having fun) I am giving away 1 metre so just leave a comment here. To be drawn Sunday night!

Curses, why do I have boys when all the cutest fabrics are pinkish? Of course, if I do win some I know plenty of girls to make stuff for. Or my boys can just break the gender mold!
How's your family going?

They are gorgeous. My small granddaughter who turned 7 last week has been after a basic sewing machine for two years. Her parents gave her one and I gave her a selection of girly fabrics in half metre and metre lengths. Tape measure, thread, tin of pins, elastic etc.

Some of the material had little Russian dolls. So cute.

I love your materials and when I see how she's going will get some for her. I means a skirt, just a couple of hems, a bit of elastic and a seam. She's very capable with her hands and what could be more simple? Just love that "jouons avec moi: print. Her cousin,8, is learning French so she'd have fun with that too. start them early and she's really keen to learn.
