simple smocking stickers...a giveaway

I'm too generous sometimes aren't I!!! I just love sharing the love and have a new gadget to show you all...smocking stickers out of Japan. I've been eyeing these off in my japanese craft magazines but hadn't found them in the shops so whats a girl to do but stock it in her own shop!

Single Cable Smocking Stickers

You simply stick the stickers over the area you want to smock and you follow the numbers! How easy is that. Bring your needle up and down at each number, when you're done you remove the stickers and you've smocked!!!! Each pack contains 2 sheets of 5-10 rows of stickers and I'm imagining sweet dresses, tunic tops, little purses, bags.....oh I could keep going.

Honeycomb Smocking Stickers

I'm also waiting for yo-yo makers to be back in stock, should be in a fortnight buy I did manage to get some heart shaped ones....

  9. I love smocking and even own a pleater. I swear by the Country Bumpkin magazines and books for how-to's but these stickers look like they could really be fabulous for beginners.

Now I just have to work on getting myself a little girl of my own to smock for. Luckily I have plenty of friends with girls who happily accept any girly sewing therapy I manage to finish.

  12. Wow, what a fantastic idea! I've been wanting to try smocking for awhile now, but it just looks a bit too involved just now - I think these stickers would be a great way to give it a go. I too have a yo-yo obsession lately, I'm addicted to both the flower and heart shape ones now.

  25. What a great idea. It's years since I did any smocking. It was probably for my niece who slots in between #2 and #3 son of my own. Now I have some granddaughters, so it would be great to revive the skill.
