I used over a metre of pre-shirred fabric from spotlight (last years range I'm afraid). I was hoping for a strapless look until I picked up the babies and realised I'd be putting on a show for everyone without straps.....so added some quick ties and I was done! So comfy and am wearing it now....and as promised me in it!
ooh corrie I would love one of these - do you sell them??
ReplyDeleteLooks great, and yes we need a photo of you wearing it.
ReplyDeleteI just made a size five dress today and shirred the top using shirring elastic in the bobbin. Its turned out great, I can see myself making more. Just got to put the straps on tonight and will send a pic, you will recognise the fabric.
Love the dress! (And lucky you with your sewing room - I am jealous!)
ReplyDeleteSuper cute & you'll look lovely in that dress. Sweet colour too, we don't wear enough green. I got to wear a Summery frock today too & go swimming. Ahhhh . . . had a lovely long uninterupted chat to husband too, the pool is like a babysitter. All 4 swam themselves to exhaustion so they'll sleep well tonight. Love Posie
ReplyDeleteIt's great, and I am on the same project at the moment! Except I am shirring mine and adding a white panel at the bottom with good old spotlight fabric from last year as well!
ReplyDeleteOh, I do like that! I've been looking for some light flowy dresses to wear around the house or down the beach and that would be perfect! I'm with Rebecca S - are you going to sell them???
ReplyDeleteThat's a really cute dress. I love the colour, I think it's really summer-y!
ReplyDeleteThat looks so gorgeous - I really love the fabric too Corrie.
ReplyDeleteClegs in Melbourne will be stocking the new Amy Butler range from today (weds 4/11)
ReplyDeleteHi Corrie, Isnt the pre-shirred the best invention. I bought some from spotlight too (mine is blue with butterflies and ladybeetles)just waiting for time to make it! Love the green on you.
ReplyDeleteLovely - very summery.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Corrie! It looks great on you!!!

ReplyDeleteHot, in November... I am sooo envious! I don't do cold ever, but that's all we've got here in England. Oh to be in Aus and have an excuse to make my own sundress... :)
