cute book

I heart macarons.....ok so we call them macaroons here but tell me, is this not the sweetest book cover you have ever seen ???? I put this back at the newsagency yesterday but couldn't stop thinking about it for the rest of the day....

the cutest book...EVER

step by step pictures, umpteen flavours of macaroon and then lots of different fillings, pretty pictures...oh so much to love! I have fond memories of eating these in paris when retro daddy was working there for a few years....I'd stock up on them for the eurostar trip home back to london! Oh so sweet and light and delicious!!!! I think this will be my mothers day gift to myself!

EDITED TO ADD on my morning shop I found the AWW book on macaroons and cookies...not nearly as many recipes but I find AWW recipes foolproof so it came home with me!

I'm a fan of macaroons too - so pretty, and delicious! Yesterday I bought a AWW A4 size book of biscuits and macaroons from Woolies, and they have a buy-one-get-one-free deal this week :)

They say that macarons are going to be he 'new cupcake'. I don't think so but they are cute! A bit fiddly to make, but addictive once you do master it!

Better go and get this today Corrie. It is so sad when you fall in love with a boo then come back to buy it some time later and it is gone.

The front cover is so pretty.

I saw a similar book in my newsagent yesterday, picked it up and put it down again. I think I might just have to go back and grab it. Yum!

Oooh, you'll have to report on your new book and let us know if you find any great recipes. I thought I read a not-so-great review of the book that you've pictured -- I wish I could remember where it was! Happy Baking!

I just tried these for the first time at Flemington Market a few weeks ago..so yummy.

I was browsing in the cook book section at Borders and there were so many books I couldn't decide which one I wanted.

I bought the AWW book and tried the raspberry ones. I think I did something wrong because they were a disaster. I might need the step by step pictures in the other book! If you make them and they are a success please let me know you're secret. Enjoy :)

Looks yummy, pity I don't bake! We call those ones macarons, and there's a little coconut cake thing we call a macaroon.
But that might just be us!

Mmm macarons! So hard to make yet so tasty! I love the tart flavours like lemon and passionfruit to balance out the sweetness although I don't think I've ever refused one lol :P

Snap! I bought the AWW book of Macaroons on Saturday too. Not sure when I'll find the time to try them. Brownies on the menu tomorrow for bookgroup. Your recipe of course. I can't tell you how many friends of mine are now cooking frequent batches.

Ahhh, macaroons, my arch nemesis. Seriously. Have tried making them six times and every time they're an absolute disaster. I don't 'do' disasters in the kitchen well.
