Each of the twinnies had a major meltdown.......throw themselves on the floor crying in the queue kind of tantrum...where people in the queue look to you to see what you're going to do about it. Ohhhhh yeah, I looked like I had it all under control.............baby in my arms getting a bottle, one twin pulling up my dress and wrapping himself around my leg, the other doing a high pitched scream about a dora plate set and throwing herself on the floor. There was nothing else to do but send retro daddy over to the food department to pick up lollies. But it's all over for another year and maybe next year the twins will smile!
And yes I wrote this post after 1am this morning and no I'm not going to bed soon!
And yes I wrote this post after 1am this morning and no I'm not going to bed soon!

Wonderful picture and who cares what they do in the queue. Merry Chirstmas to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteAwwww...they all look so cute. 1am? This is when I start sewing - when everyone in the house is asleep except for me and my machine. Have a good night (or morning in this case).
ReplyDeleteIt is a picture of a wonderful family, just as you all are... You know what I like best? The bare legs and bruise on Keira's knee. That shows real life ;-)!!!

ReplyDeleteAnd yes I'm sure we can all empathise with you re "the behind the scenes story" so common at this time of year - we've all been there.

I was just thinking when I saw the time of your post that either you were up late or very early...I'm up early...5.30 am! That is a beautiful photo, at least retrodaddy was there to help as well. Maybe you could enlist a few more grown up family members next year as well..lol! Love all the matching red polka dots and the pout on the twins faces!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great photo Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteOh twins look perfectly pouty! What a fantastic looking family you are! Love your hair.
ReplyDeleteHe he he - I have three children, a little older than yours, and I get about one photo a year when they are all smiling simultaneously!!!! You are doing a fantastic job!
ReplyDeleteAdorable Corrie! The twins look so alike and I consider any photo where everyone is looking at the camera to be a MASSIVE success :-)

Gorgeous Santa photo of all of you. I think Isabelle looks like that in her last Santa photo too. I know all about those tantrums and they usually happen when you least expect them. Have a great night doing something you like hopefully. You musnt sleep for long Corrie!

ReplyDeleteWe haven't done the Santa photo for a few years because someone always has a scream at Santa ..lol and my kids are 5,7 and 9!!
You look lovely and hair looks great (self styled by now?). Very funny post as us mums can all relate. Get some sleep before Christmas as you won't be getting it on the day! xx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Love the girls' outfits and that Finn matches his daddy!
ReplyDeleteWe had the opposite experience; kids great in the queue but lost the plot as soon as we saw Santa; mind, Santa was far too skinny and very camp! We clearly should have gone to DJs instead of Myer...
A lovely family photo and what a memory to share when the kids are that much older!! I'm sure you'll all have a good laugh about it then! Good for you for even lining up for a photo and creating that Christmas tradition.....Merry Christmas to you and all the gorgeous fam.
