Well I always share the big moments in our life on this little blog. And the first day of preschool for my twinnies is no exception. To say that they were excited is an understatement. They've only been asking me EVERY SINGLE DAY since last year 'are we going to preschool today?'.
And as soon as they woke up this morning they were running around the house screaming!!!! I've never had to calm them down so much first thing in the morning. It was totally crazy. They'd even hold hands and jump around together in circles.
but after a few photos and checking we had everything....off we went.
first stop was keira at school. Then for some reason after I dropped her off and started driving to preschool I had to fight back the tears. I mean really fight back the tears and couldn't speak.
I think the reality was setting in of such a big step eventhough I've been hanging out for this day for a long time. A LONG TIME! But I've never put these two in care so they've just always been around me. Finn got a little bit nervous when we got in there but tillie was all smiles and they both hovered around each other before deciding they wanted to paint first. The beauty of twins, you get to start preschool with your best friend right by your side.
yes, we call finn 'little justin' as he looks just like his daddy!
I feel so bad for keira because she didn't go to a traditional preschool like the twins are going to. The difference in quality is huge and I feel so lucky the twins can attend a brand new catholic preschool. I almost cried when I saw the little prayer corner set up. It's been an emotional morning, OK? It's just such a lovely place.
but we said our goodbyes and this mummy took elodie off to the mall for a little peace and quiet. And it was nice. I only had to share my hot cinnamon donuts (a pregnancy treat I indulge in ) with one little person. But as nice as today is, I keep wondering what they're up to, hoping no one has wet their pants and that they are enjoying themselves.
And I'm sure it will be 2.30pm in no time and time to pick them up and get keira from school!

WOW! What a big day! and with number 5 on the way, probably good timing. But it is still a BIG Day for all concerned and don't they just look too cute standing there holding hands! Adorable the lot of them. Hope they have had a lovely day.
Well what a day. You are NOT going to know yourself - with all that breathing space. Of a whole two days...
Can very much relate. Had my youngest (of 4) start preschool earlier this week. laughed at the hoping for no wet pants - me too! (only started getting his act together last week..talk about cutting it close!)Debated doing the stalking thing ; sitting outside in the car just so I could watch and see how he was going, but gave myself a talking to and left him to it! Enjoy the quietish days before your next bub comes!
Is that a light box behind the twins in the last photo? Love them. So much fun to explore with. And yes, 2:30 comes around way too fast.
Awww bless, they are so cute! Such a big day :)
My Jack started big school this week at our local Catholic School and is loving it. I cried when I dressed him in the morning imagining I was dressing him for his wedding!! lol!
hope Finn and Tillie had a great day!
Beautiful Corrie! Thank you for sharing these precious moments :-) Your photos are priceless of their excitement and love for one another. Bless
I'm reading this now at 2.45pm and I'm wondering how the twins went and I hope pre school lived up to their excitement. On another note how nice for you to spend some one on one time with Elodie before she she gets a little brother or sister.
That is utterly adorable!! You can see the excitement in their faces. So sweet. Hope they had a lovely first day. xx
Oh Corrie your little Twinnies are just soooooo gorgeous it makes me almost wish I had two in my belly!!!! Their bond is visible in the pictures and they clearly absolutely adore each other. : ))) I totally understand your emotional state (being pregnant will do that to you over nothing - let alone such a big day as your babies going to preschool!). They look like they'll have had a wonderful day. Enjoy the semi peace and quiet while you can. You know how fast that school day disappears! xx
Certainly a big day for you. Glad you have found a lovely place for the twins to go. Those pictures are too cute as are they.
Tenneille starts prep this year and we have decided to send her to a totally different school to Scarlett who is in grade 3. I'm dreading all the driving, but hopefully my girls will be both happy with where they are. I'll only have one at home during the day, that is almost like a holiday in itself! Jacinta
Oh my goodness just looking at Tillie in the first photo shows how excited she is. I do hope the twins had a lovey first day and how nice for you to have a rest for a little while. Just think this time next year you will have 2 more babies home with you and 3 away at school!
Found you via Blogs of Note on Blogger. Congrats! Love your . . . what to pick what I love most? . . . topics & style. Lovely, lovely! And the children . . . P.R.E.C.I.O.U.S.!!!
I hope they both had a GREAT first day! So beautiful to read about how excited they were! xxx
Wow that was a big day for all of you! Congrats! I remember my kids' firsts of everything! They're 9 and 11 anymore and we're preparing ourselves for first day of junior high school but that is not as precious as pre-school or kindergarten and elementary! The photos are wonderful and your children are cuuuuuuuute!

Never been in care and were keen to go! amazing! You are lucky! My first 2 babies had nannies at home while I went to work and they were hard at preschool. my first boy started in term 3 and I had to go and get him everyday for the first 8 weeks. I think it was the teacher being hard on him! but then he had 2 extra fun weeks and then started the new year in a fantastic frame of mind. my other 2 had no worries, last baby had been doing day care (at a centre and family daycare) for a year first.
So cute! And yep, I always think Finn looks like Justin when I see his pic. How did they go? They are so lucky to have each other!!
They are so adorable Corrie, the picture of them kissing has to be my favourite. What a special day for you all :-)

Living with Herpes is really hard, especially when you are a single. According to a report from the largest Herpes singles dating site DateHSV. com, 98% of its members who used to be on a general dating site to find the love and support were rejected by others. That could be the reason that why DateHSV. com is so popular and now has more than 560,000 members.

Those pictures are GORGEOUS!

Such cute kids! Seeing them paint the glass (whatever it's called in english) reminds me of my days on-the-job learning in kindergarten. =)

Wow, does Tilly look so excited she's about to burst, or what?!! I can see Finn is excited too, he's just better at holding it in. I hope they had a great first day.
Isn't it funny how you look forward to all the cool little milestones, but when they actually reach them you realise that another little part of their childhood is over.
