quick quilt for grandma betty

my grandma betty will love and appreciate anything I make, she is my grandma after all. I wanted to give her something more than chocolates and a nice photo of the family this year and decided a quick charm square lap quilt would be perfect. This is Botany by Moda and is a perfect match for her green velvet couches!

Backed in some beige homespun from my stash and the binding came from my stash too! I just love when you can find everything you need in your stash!!!!! And I've quilted with my improving (but still very much a beginner) free motion quilting!

Another present ticked off the list! Thank goodness because spending half the day at Chatswood Chase with the kids is enough to make you get sewing for everyone!!!

    Lovely quilt, I'm sure Grandma will love it!
    Aren't the shops CRAZY busy??? I'm almost glad to be broke this Christmas, means I have to sew more gifts, but at least I don't have to brave the shopping centres!
    I read about the Sew It get together in one of your earlier posts, and am hoping that there are still spots available. I've emailed Sheridan. It sounds like lots of fun!
