the scales say 3.2 kilos down and while I'm terrible at sticking to the exercise plan - terrible meaning I'm lucky to exercise twice a week compared to six times a week - I'm doing well with the eating part. And that's what I needed. To stop eating a block of chocolate a day and get back to the healthy diet that I usually have. Now I won't be swanning around Noosa in a bikini and I still can't fit into most of my wardrobe but a few options have opened up for me.
But I really missing baking..................and chocolate! Oh how I miss chocolate. In fact since starting my diet program I've created new boards on pinterest with titles like I love chocolate and I love baking. Once the weight is gone I'm pretty good at sneaking a few treats in and keeping the weight off but I've just got to get the weight off first. And it's hard work.
Top of my list to make would have to be some brownies. I love my brownie recipe so much. And quiche, oh I miss a good quiche with buttery homemade pastry and lots of vegies and lots of cheese. Oh cheese, why did I have to bring that up. I am missing eating a big hunk of cheese too. And cake............with frosting and I miss licking a spatula or eating cookie dough. Oh I need to stop talking about it. Let's just say there are some things I'm really missing.....and the kids too. Snacking on an apple just doesn't cut it.
But I'm focused and I'm getting there...........................and there will be some fun times when the weight is gone...
Oh its hard work isn't it? You are doing a lot better than me, 6 weeks and hardly lost anything. Must be doing something wrong! That smartie slice looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteYou have more willpower than I do! You are doing really well and with summer around the corner it makes for a really good incentive!
ReplyDelete3.2kg? That's great! :) Well done you. You should be very proud of yourself. I hear you too, I need to be dropping some kilos too, but I do love to bake! Also hard with a hubby who loves my baking and yet it doesn't show on his scales!! xx

you are doing a great job with the weight loss. It has to be difficult to diet and still feed 5 children and a husband.
ReplyDeleteHaving willpower is a wonderful thing.
I have been working on loosing weight for 189 days now and I have lost 59.5 pounds! still have some more to go but I know I will get there!
Done completely with will power...smaller portions and loads of green veggies and fruit. Following the Weight Watcher plan is not hard to do. I do not deny myself anything. I eat any food I want, I just eat a very little bit of it.
I enjoy reading your blog and seeing your babies grow up. You have a beautiful family!

Kudos to you if you resisted these mouthwatering delights.
ReplyDeleteYou are doing so well Corrie! Keep at it!
ReplyDeleteI have just gone back to work and NEED to get exercising and eating right again! I know exactly how you feel x
ReplyDeleteCorrie I feel your pain! I'm an all or nothing kinda gal and I've had to ban chocolate from my existence just until I can trust myself not to go back to old habits of an entire block in one sitting!
ReplyDeleteWell done on the loss! You're doing a great job especially with so much happening on a day to day basis!
Chin up girl... You'll get there!
T'was a good thing I'd just finished my lunch ... and have it sitting in my belly atm, what with reading your post!! ... You were just making a girl *craaaave!!!*
ReplyDeleteLol! Well done on sticking to your eating plan - for me that's more than half the battle!! ... Once I can get past those first few days of exercise that just *kill* ... the struggle is simply time when it comes to exercise ... Diet/Menu plan/Food - that's where I suffer!! Must get some contingencies in place so I don't have the excuse of *it's just so much quicker and easier to eat this than that*, lol!
Keep at it Corrie!! You're doing great!!!
Corrie,
ReplyDeleteI'm doing Round 3 12WBT too. I was so focussed last week, none of these temptations bothered me but I'm finding it harder this week to ignore those craving pangs. It's a challenge but I just keep focussing on the goal and weigh in tomorrow!
dxx
Well done!! Stay strong.
ReplyDeleteWow you are doing well. I have been running for four weeks. I am only running 2.5km every second day but the problem is it makes me hungry, really hungry, oh and exhausted....not a good combination. My scale batteries re flat and I am not in a hurry to replace them because I don't want to be disappointed.
ReplyDeleteYou are on your way! Love the smarties tart.
ReplyDeleteOh CorrIe, I admire your strength & dedication. I'm a self confessed chocoholic & I love lots of other naughty things too. I also get a bit frustrated about not being able to exercise regularly too. It's just near impossible during the week, so weekends are my only chance. Good on you, look forward to seeing your progress xo
ReplyDeleteYou have great willpower! Just the word 'chocolate' and I've failed.
ReplyDeleteYou're doing so well! Working out 2-3 times a week at the moment which isn't really enough but, like you say, it will have to do. xx
ReplyDeleteLovely recipe corrie. Do you have a good quiche one you like?
