I can't believe it either! One minute he was this tiny little newborn in the hospital. Would you look at him???? I could stare at newborns for hours. And obviously as a mother of 5, well I have an addiction to them.
But next thing you know he's tipping the scales and busting out of his clothes. Literally, he pops the press studs on most of his jumpsuits so I've got him in 6-12 month sized clothes at the moment.
He gets around most of the day on me. It's the only way I can get anything done and his preferred way to sleep during the day. Today we did a spot of baking, got dinner in the slowcooker and did load after load of laundry- he slept on me. Some people babywear to be close to their baby and for attachment parenting - for me it's the only way I can get through my big list of jobs each day. And of course I love it. I loved it with elodie and I love it with emerson. In fact he's never in a pram!
And while emerson is on me, Elodie is kept entertained with a little tub of choc chips and raisins. She picks them out to eat one by one and it's a great way to keep her entertained.
So we've survived the first 3 months, I'm feeling more like myself, he's growing at record speed and starting to sleep through the night. What more could a mummy ask for? A flat tummy perhaps.......
He is adorable and looks very healthy. You are doing an amazing job

He is beautiful! 3 months has gone by fast!
ReplyDeleteHe's so lovely!! I remember being told that as long as they are growing you are doing everything right - so you are definitely! He looks all loved up!
ReplyDeleteI think we all dream of flat and mark free tummies! Lol...
ReplyDeleteEmerson is gorgeous and by the looks of it extremely kissable :)
Congrats on passing the 3 month mark! That was a huge achievement for me also... Things just seem to flow from there.

Gosh, the time has passed so quickly, you have a beautiful family, it can be hard work being a mum but most of the time it's pretty amazing too!
ReplyDeleteflat tummies are sooooo overrated :)
ReplyDeletekeep enjoying every minute with your darling little man
I agree with Shellebelle - flat tummies are overrated! He looks slo lovely and healthy. I'm a baby wrap fan too - I would have been lost without it. Elaina
ReplyDeleteЭто удивительно, как быстро растут детки, всегда кажется что не успеваеш наиграться с крохой.
ReplyDeleteУ вас замечательный малыш!
Just gorgeous Corrie, you're doing brilliantly!! Love Posie
ReplyDeleteWell done on making it through the newborn stage, Corrie. I second what Jennie says. J x
ReplyDeleteWhat a chumper. He looks very happy and comfy. I remember his birth. Emerson is about as old as my blog!
ReplyDeletekeep up the good work retro mummy!
ReplyDeleteWOW that time has flown, though I'm sure it's been a bit of a marathon for you Corrie. Gorgeous photos of your gorgeous boy. You are a natural, I know I've said that before... such a lovely Mama! Well done on getting to this milestone xo

ReplyDeleteWow! How fast did that go. I always think that the first year just flies by. Babies achieve just so much within 12 months.
ReplyDeleteEmerson is positively thriving as are all your lovely brood.
As for the flat tummy, phhhttt. I wouldn't worry about it. You'll lose the flab eventually. Then you hit middle age and it all goes to pot. Ask me how I know hahah ;)
Wow that did go fast, my baby is due in two days.
ReplyDeleteI love newborns too, I am sure that your tummy will come back with your dedication to watching what you eat and looking after your family.
I always think life gets easier after 3 months. What a gorgeous boy you have there x
ReplyDeleteHappy 3 month Birthday Emerson!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous little guy you are!
Yes that 3 months sure has gone by so quickly. As a Mother of a reflux baby I wish I knew about those baby wraps 20 years ago... it was very difficult to get anything done.
ReplyDeleteHe is very cute and looks healthy!
ReplyDeleteI could have done with one of those wraps with all three of my kids all of whom had protein allergies as babies as well as reflux. None of them were sleepers for the first three months. I used to spend hours each week pushing a pram around the neighbourhood. On the plus side, I never had any problems shifting the baby weight!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the baby stage, it goes by too quick especially with your youngest. My baby turned 9 this week and it seems like yesterday that he was a newborn.
emerson is growing so quickly and so is elodie! One thing is for sure corrie, babywearing while you do household chores is a sure fire way to burn extra calories. A 12wbt exercise? Heck yes!
ReplyDeleteyou are a lovely momy, and you have a cute emerson
ReplyDeleteYou are doing soooo well Corrie and Emerson is thriving with all your love and care! Flat tummies are sooo last year ;)
