Well Keira is back at school and we are straight back into routine. Emerson has decided that after a short stint of sleeping through the night he actually prefers to wake up before 4am and watch a little early morning tv. So I'm finding myself up from 4am and asleep by 8.30pm on the couch every night. Nothing like a spot of warm banana bread to pick yourself up in the morning. Here is this morning's loaf. I used 3 bananas and just increased the flour from yesterday's recipe to a little over 2 cups. It was delicious and made a big beautiful loaf.
But this blog post is not about how badly I am sticking to my diet, it's about a lovely giveaway thanks to Suzy Hausfrau. She asked would I like to giveaway the latest book 'Little Rascals' by MillaMia and I had to say yes. Their patterns are lovely and their latest book is no exception. There are 19 patterns all up and there are patterns for babies and toddlers as well as older children with a few patterns going up to a size 7. And here are just a few of my favourites but I haven't decided what I'll cast on first.
This giveaway is for my Australian readers only (sorry!) and please just leave a comment and you're in the draw. Too easy. I'll even pop in a couple of balls of debbie bliss baby cashmerino that are floating around here and can be used for patterns in the book! Because I'm nice. And because I'm having a huge clearout of my craft room!!!!
And if you want to buy the book for yourself then Suzy Hausfrau has it for just $29.95 as a special introductory offer and that includes postage. I'll pick a lovely winner this Sunday!
Such cute patterns! Please enter me. I hear you on the early mornings. My youngest used to wake up at 5 am every morning regardless of what time she went to bed:)
ReplyDeleteLove the argyle! Must make that banana bread, it's not great for the diet but super yummy! Apparently the 12WBT banana bread is really nice, I've been meaning to make it but the smalls keep eating all the bananas before they get ripe enough!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous little patterns. Love the little wrap around cardie, that would be my first project! Mm,banana bread, I can almost smell it, but unfortunately I will have to wait for my banana's to brown a little.

ReplyDeleteOh that little dress is just too cute! Would love to win as the other MillaMia books seem to be permanently unavailable through book depository. Might have to check out if Suzie Hausfrau has them?
ReplyDelete"MillaMia" and "Debbie Bliss baby cashmerino." Probably my two favourite knitting-related phrases (that and "its finished" only I dont hear that too often). I have MillaMia's The Close Knit Gang which I LOVE but with a new baby on the way, Im ready for new inspiration. What a great prize. Maybe my 4yo will be lucky enough to score something too.
ReplyDeleteOooh... Yes please Corrie! I need some new projects for my little ones.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of knitting and often get enthused enough to start projects but rarely manage to actually finish them! Usually because I've used the wrong wool or haven't checked my tension and I give up when I realise that the project isn't going to work... So I'd love to win the pattern book and Debbie Bliss yarn as it might not only enthuse me but I might actually use the right wool and finally finish the project!!!
ReplyDeletemy mum LOVES to knit for my little one, would love to gift this book to her...
